Christmas Time By Marilyn Grubb
I love Christmas time. I love the excitement, anticipation, kindness, and thoughtfulness of others. In my position at Lancaster Community Church, I have the privilege of directing benevolence funds. Just as we feel there is a Biblical requirement to tithe our personal income, so too does Lancaster Community Church tithe their income. That’s what we call Benevolence. What an awesome responsibility and privilege to share Kingdom finances with those in our congregation and community.
Over the past few weeks, we have had multiple folks offer to provide anonymous gifts to the needy in our congregation. I have the privilege of directing the information to those who want to give to others – complete with needs and shopping list. I hear from the “givers” the fun they have shopping for just the right gift, wrapping it and sharing the joy of giving.
What a privilege to deliver these beautifully wrapped packages to the families who need “just a little help” this holiday season. They accept with tears of appreciation and open arms of thankfulness; so grateful that others are willing to share with their family.
I am very appreciative that we have an opportunity to be a part of others lives; to encourage them and show God’s love, and that we have loving folks in our congregation that have compassionate hearts to give to others. During this Christmas season, please remember to not only share the gifts with family and friends but God’s love with others as well.

Thanks to all of your caring and giving hearts
I thank God for this church and the loving people who make it. We may never know how far reaching these gifts of love will take them. It may be one thing they will never forget, and let them always know how much God cares for them and hasn't forgotten them. I thank God for each and everyone of you.
Many Blessings, Roni
